Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in culinary arts preferred
- associate degree with equivalent experience considered
- minimum five years work experience as an executive chef
- experience in hospitality industry
- current ServSafe certification
- ability to work flexible hours including special events
- strong organizational skills
- excellent interpersonal and supervisory abilities

Job Duties
- assist kitchen and restaurant staff with back and front of the house operations as needed
- plan, prepare, and execute special events, banquets, and theme meals
- produce innovative menus and recipes using high-quality ingredients within budget
- maintain monthly and annual food and beverage budgets
- review and adjust menus to accommodate seasonal changes and cost fluctuations
- ensure purchasing standards and vendor relationships are maintained
- manage food and beverage inventory and documentation
- interview, hire, and train culinary and food service staff
- supervise staff scheduling, performance, and conduct
- collaborate with executive director and administrative staff to maintain high customer satisfaction and health department scores
- oversee preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment
- ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and food safety policies
- control food preparation to minimize waste
- maintain accurate daily records
- provide ongoing staff training on food preparation and presentation standards
- foster collaboration between front and back of house staff
- coordinate with marketing and activities for resident special needs and events
- engage with residents and families to ensure satisfaction
- report concerns to management
