Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree with relevant experience
- minimum five years work experience as Executive Chef
- current ServSafe certification
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships
- knowledge of food safety and health regulations
- capability to work flexible schedules
- experience in staff training and supervision
- customer service orientation
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- associate degree with equivalent experience accepted
- minimum five years as Executive Chef in hospitality industry
- current ServSafe certification
Job Duties
- Assist kitchen and restaurant staff with back and front of the house operations as needed
- assist in planning, preparation, and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
- create menus and recipes utilizing high-quality ingredients within budget
- maintain monthly and annual budgets for food and beverage department
- review and adjust menus for seasonal ingredients, supply chain issues, and cost changes
- ensure purchasing standards and vendor relationships
- report and submit monthly inventory of food and beverage supplies
- interview, hire and train culinary and food and beverage staff
- manage and supervise staff including scheduling, performance reviews, and corrective actions
- collaborate with Executive Director to maintain customer satisfaction and health survey levels
- oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and proper use
- ensure dietary needs and food safety policies are met
- control food preparation to minimize waste
- maintain accurate daily records
- provide ongoing training in food preparation and service quality
- ensure coordination between front and back of house staff for outstanding customer service
- work with marketing and activities to meet resident special needs and plan events
- meet regularly with residents and families to ensure satisfaction
- advise management on resident concerns
