Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum three years as Executive Chef or Sous Chef in high-volume kitchens
- culinary experience in healthcare or similar settings
- ServSafe Manager Certification
- Food Safety Handler Certification
- strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office and POS systems
- ability to work flexible hours
- excellent leadership and communication skills
- knowledge of budgeting and P&L management
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume industry-leading concept
- four to seven years of culinary experience in healthcare, restaurant, or catering
- certificate or degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- ServSafe Manager Certification required
- Food Safety Handler Certification required
Job Duties
- Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
- follow standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards
- complete and utilize daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- taste completed meals to ensure quality
- train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation
- establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas
- ensure kitchen staff follow and complete schedules as assigned
- maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies within guidelines
- interview and hire kitchen staff
- implement and oversee training programs
- set up work schedules and job requirements
- comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- follow facility, department and Company safety policies and procedures
- participate in departmental meetings and staff development programs
- demonstrate strong financial and computer skills
- work flexible schedule
- lead and positively influence team members
- utilize Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems
- interact directly with patients and guests
