Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years of kitchen management experience
- proven ability to manage food costs
- professional appearance and strong presentation skills required
- proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- current Food Handler's card and alcohol service permit as applicable
- experience with hospitality employee scheduling
- ability to obtain and maintain sanitation certification
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to train and develop staff
- problem-solving and decision-making skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- open availability including evenings and weekends
- willingness to work event-driven schedules
- physical ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of kitchen management experience in a full-service restaurant or event venue
- demonstrated track record of meeting projected costs
- professional appearance and presentation
- knowledge of computer software including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- current Food Handler's card and alcohol service permit if required
- working knowledge of employee scheduling
- ability to obtain and maintain certification in nationally recognized sanitation programs
- technical proficiency in food preparation methods
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- experience in staff training, motivation, and coaching
- ability to delegate responsibility effectively

Job Duties
- Managing, developing, and mentoring full-time and part-time culinary staff including employment actions such as hiring and disciplining
- assisting catering sales and event planning and execution
- training and mentoring event staff to promote a positive workplace environment
- controlling food costs through effective inventory, portion, and waste management
- scheduling kitchen staff and monitoring labor costs
- ensuring food quality, consistency, and adherence to recipe specifications
- supervising line setup, prep, and breakdown activities
- coordinating kitchen equipment maintenance and repair
- managing catered services setup and delivery
- arranging staff training and orientation
- maintaining positive employee relations and staff evaluations
- ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and employment regulations
- organizing kitchen administrative tasks including food inventories and invoicing
- promoting teamwork and goal setting among staff
- meeting organizational sustainability goals
- assisting in managing catering operations
- ensuring compliance with alcohol service policies
- ensuring efficient and profitable kitchen operations
- analyzing sales and purchasing data
- reviewing menus and marketing plans
