Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent high-level culinary experience
- 5-7 years progressive leadership experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Strong background in wellness-focused, performance, or athletic dining preferred
- Expert in from-scratch cooking, recipe development, and menu engineering
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements relevant to athletes
- Demonstrated success managing budgets, food costs, and labor efficiency
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments
- ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

- Expertise in from-scratch cooking, recipe development and menu engineering
- Proven leadership skills to develop and inspire culinary teams
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for athletes
- Successful budget and food cost management experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Manage, develop and mentor culinary staff including hiring, firing and disciplining
- Ensure event staff awareness of workplace expectations and provide ongoing training and mentoring
- Control food costs through portion control, inventory management and purchasing procedures
- Manage labor costs via staff scheduling and cross-training
- Ensure quality and consistency in food purchasing, preparation and menu development
- Supervise kitchen line setup, prep and breakdown activities
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment
- Arrange catered service delivery and setup
- Conduct kitchen staff skills training and orientation
- Maintain positive employee relations and solve workplace issues
- Enforce health, sanitation and safety regulations
- Manage kitchen record keeping including inventories and invoicing
- Promote teamwork through communication and goal setting
- Oversee production of staff meals ensuring they are nutritious and timely
- Lead culinary program and menu development tailored to athlete nutrition
- Collaborate with nutritionists and medical staff on menu alignment
- Uphold food safety and regulatory compliance
- Supervise recipe development and meal presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen
- Act as visible, hands-on leader with culinary team
