Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of leadership experience in culinary roles
- ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements relevant to athletics
- Ability to lead and mentor a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work variable hours including nights and weekends
- Commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent high-level culinary experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Strong background in wellness-focused, performance, or athletic dining preferred
- Expertise in from-scratch cooking, recipe development, and menu engineering
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a culinary team in a high-performance environment
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and food trends relevant to athletes
- Demonstrated success in managing budgets, food cost, and labor efficiency
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Manage, develop, and mentor culinary staff including hiring, firing, and disciplining
- Ensure event staff compliance with workplace expectations and provide training and mentoring
- Control food costs through inventory rotation, portion controls, purchasing, and waste management
- Schedule kitchen staff and monitor labor costs and break documentation
- Develop menus and maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen line setup, preparation, and breakdown
- Coordinate kitchen equipment maintenance, catering delivery, and food service areas
- Organize staff training and orientation
- Maintain positive employee relations and handle staffing, evaluation, and counseling
- Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, safety, and employment regulations
- Manage kitchen record-keeping, food inventory, and invoicing
- Promote teamwork through communication, leadership, and goal setting
- Oversee the production of staff meals aligned with nutritional calendars
- Lead culinary program with focus on athlete nutritional needs and food trends
- Collaborate with nutritionists, trainers, and medical staff
- Uphold food safety and sanitation protocols
- Act as a hands-on leader working alongside the culinary team
