Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent high-level culinary experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Strong background in wellness-focused, performance, or athletic dining preferred
- Expertise in from-scratch cooking, recipe development, and menu engineering
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a culinary team in a high-performance environment
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and food trends relevant to athletes
- Demonstrated success in managing budgets, food cost, and labor efficiency
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with cross-department collaboration
- ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Manage, develop and mentor a staff of 35 culinary employees including hiring, firing, and disciplining
- Ensure event staff are aware of workplace expectations and provide ongoing training and mentoring
- Achieve budgeted food cost percentages through controls such as portioning, inventory management, and purchasing procedures
- Control labor costs by effective scheduling and cross-training of kitchen staff
- Ensure food products meet quality and consistency standards and oversee menu development
- Supervise food preparation activities including line setup and breakdown
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Manage catering delivery and setup as needed
- Arrange and manage skill training and development for kitchen staff
- Maintain positive employee relations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Oversee kitchen administration including inventory records and schedule organization
- Promote teamwork and lead by example to uphold quality, service, and concept standards
- Oversee timely production of healthy staff meals
- Lead culinary program with performance-driven menus tailored to athlete nutrition
- Collaborate with nutritionists and medical staff to align menus with health goals
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards including ServSafe and HACCP protocols
- Supervise recipe development, production, and presentation for daily meals and events
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Act as a visible, hands-on leader working alongside team members
