Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-7 years leadership experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage budgets and control food and labor costs
- Experience working in a high-performance culinary environment
Job Qualifications

- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Strong background in wellness-focused, performance, or athletic dining preferred
- Expertise in from-scratch cooking, recipe development, and menu engineering
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a culinary team in a high-performance environment
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and food trends relevant to athletes
- Demonstrated success in managing budgets, food cost, and labor efficiency
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with cross-department collaboration
- ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Manage, develop and mentor a culinary team of 35 full-time and part-time employees
- Initiate employment actions including hiring, firing, and disciplining staff
- Ensure event staff are aware of workplace expectations and provide ongoing training and mentoring
- Control food costs through portion control, kitchen timings, inventory rotation, purchasing, and waste control
- Manage labor costs through effective scheduling and cross-training
- Develop menus ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with nutritional needs
- Supervise all kitchen operations including line setup, prep, and breakdown activities
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment
- Arrange and oversee catered services and food service areas
- Manage employee relations and maintain a positive work environment
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and employment regulations
- Maintain kitchen records including food inventories and invoicing
- Promote teamwork through effective communication and leadership
- Oversee production of staff meals ensuring they are timely, healthy, and substantial
- Lead culinary program execution including menu design tailored to athlete nutrition
- Collaborate with nutritionists, athletic trainers, and medical staff
- Uphold food safety standards including FIFO, ServSafe, and HACCP protocols
- Act as a hands-on leader working alongside the culinary team
