Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years kitchen management experience
- Valid Food Handler’s card
- Experience in hospitality employee scheduling
- Ability to obtain sanitation certification
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Professional appearance
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Willingness to manage diverse teams and work under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years kitchen management experience in a full service restaurant or event venue
- Proven track record of meeting projected food costs
- Professional appearance and presentation
- Proficiency with computer software including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Current Food Handler’s card and alcohol service permit as required
- Knowledge of employee scheduling in hospitality
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in nationally recognized sanitation programs
- Demonstrable knowledge of food preparation methods
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse personalities
- Effective active listening and communication skills
- Ability to develop and motivate results-oriented staff
- Skilled in training, evaluation, coaching, and counseling employees
- Capable of delegating responsibility and solving problems creatively
- Strong decision-making abilities and initiative
- Detail-oriented with multi-tasking and prioritization skills

- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and long hours
Job Duties
- Manage, develop, and mentor culinary staff including hiring and disciplining
- Ensure event staff understand workplace expectations and provide ongoing training and mentorship
- Achieve budgeted food cost percentages through control measures such as inventory rotation, portion control, and waste management
- Control labor costs via effective scheduling and staff cross-training
- Ensure purchasing and preparation meet Oak View Group quality standards
- Develop menus maintaining quality, consistency, and style
- Monitor food production and presentation to meet recipe, portion, and safety standards
- Supervise kitchen setup, prep, and cleaning activities
- Delegate tasks during service and coordinate kitchen equipment maintenance
- Organize delivery and setup of catered services
- Arrange staff training and orientation
- Foster a positive work environment and employee relations
- Manage staff evaluations and promote teamwork
- Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, safety, and employment laws
- Maintain kitchen administrative records including food inventories and invoicing
- Schedule employees ensuring proper coverage and uniform compliance
- Lead by example to uphold product and service quality
- Oversee timely and nutritious staff meal production
