Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 4 years culinary management experience
- steakhouse experience preferred
- strong leadership and communication skills
- proficiency in budgeting and cost control
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- valid food handler certification required
- physical capability to lift 40 lbs and push/pull 75 lbs
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- computer proficiency
- culinary degree or relevant education preferred

Job Duties
- Assist the General Manager in budgeting including food cost and payroll
- control overheads and achieve food cost budget
- agree with Food and Beverage Department managers on market potential for food outlets
- adhere to Bob's Steak & Chop House standard recipes and design daily features
- work with Food and Beverage Director on capital expenditure
- ensure guest satisfaction with kitchen operations
- maintain standards for purchasing and receiving items
- collaborate with storeroom manager and controller on purchasing control
- forecast food quantities to avoid over or under production
- create recipes and production methods
- compile new banquet menus when required
- inspect food service sections during service
- control equipment and schedule maintenance
- keep updated on market trends and competitor offerings
- promote in-house sales activities like culinary festivals
- plan and control utilization of food production staff
- interview and recruit suitable staff
- oversee training and development of kitchen staff
- comply with employment and industrial relations laws
- establish office procedures for menus and purchasing
- perform all department manager duties
- participate in critical path tasks for Food and Beverage
- conduct and attend department meetings
