Job Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited culinary school
- minimum of 3 years experience in a professional high-volume kitchen with management experience
- mastery of batch-cooking math for scaling recipes up or down
- valid ServSafe Manager Certification
- certification in nutrition, dietetics, or related field is highly preferred
- deep understanding of superfoods and functional ingredients
- knowledge of how cooking methods affect nutrient bioavailability
- ability to transform restrictive diets into diverse, exciting meals
- adaptability to pivot menus based on changing health data or seasonal availability
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
- excellent time management and prioritization skills
- self-starter able to handle multiple tasks
- willingness to participate in mission-driven programs such as food distribution and disaster relief initiatives

- recipe development focusing on flavor, nutrition, and practicality
- nutritional analysis calculating macronutrient ratios and caloric content
- large-scale food preparation operating industrial kitchen equipment and following standardized recipes
- quality control and food safety monitoring including adherence to HACCP and food temperature logs
- ingredient sourcing ensuring high-quality, nutrient-dense, and fresh ingredients
- expert management of specialty diets addressing food allergies and sensitivities without compromising taste
- meal preparation using healthy cooking techniques preserving nutrient integrity
- collaboration with dietitians to align meals with health objectives
- kitchen management overseeing inventory, supplies, cleaning, staff supervision, and strict sanitation protocols
- educating staff on nutrition and healthy eating benefits
- maintaining clean and sanitized workstations adhering to deep-cleaning schedules
