Job Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required upon appointment

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a chef in a high-volume hotel or restaurant operation
  • Possess or obtain Food Protection Manager Certification within first six months of employment
  • Experience in senior management role with leadership over multiple outlets and 80+ employees is highly preferred
  • Proven experience managing teams and personnel within a unionized hospitality environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced hospitality management systems is preferred
  • Leadership experience in motivating teams to meet food and beverage financial goals is preferred
  • Resumes must clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities
  • Must be able to work varied hours including weekdays, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain a Tier 1 background investigation

Job Duties

  • Plan, develop and manage all phases of a major food operation including formal dining, Sunday brunch, family dining, contemporary dining, snack bars, and catering
  • Create daily, catering and specialty menus for each food outlet
  • Oversee preparation of meals involving complex or new cooking methods
  • Balance nutritional values of menus and ensure quality of food service program
  • Develop operating budgets identifying labor, food, equipment and supply costs
  • Direct subordinates in all phases of food preparation and control pricing, production methods and techniques
  • Maintain a high level of professional culinary skills and specialized knowledge to ensure efficient, profitable and high-quality food operation
