Job Requirements

  • 6 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary workplace language
  • Capability to create marketing strategies and promotional menu items
  • Maintain a positive attitude and serve as a leader on the hotel leadership group

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Proven leadership and team development abilities
  • Ability to create marketing strategies and promotional menu items
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude and leadership presence within the hotel's leadership group

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the development and enhancement of the food product presented to guests
  • Maintain quality and consistency of food delivery and standards
  • Lead and develop culinary staff through selection, training, and performance appraisal
  • Oversee food preparation and coordinate cooks and kitchen workers
  • Develop and implement purchasing and receiving guidelines
  • Manage department controllable expenses including food costs and supplies
  • Communicate safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety codes
