Job Requirements
- Education level of two to four year college degree or equivalent
- Minimum five years experience in culinary leadership
- Prior hotel culinary management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Ability to manage high-volume culinary operations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Capability to work flexible hours and perform Manager-on-Duty duties
Job Qualifications
- Two to four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience
- Minimum five years experience in a culinary leadership role
- Previous hotel food and culinary leadership experience
- Proven ability in catering, event, and high-volume execution
- Demonstrated success in training, coaching, and developing culinary teams
- Excellent multitasking, delegation, and communication skills
- Familiarity with hotel food and beverage operations
- Knowledge of food cost control and budgeting
Job Duties
- Administer culinary human resource objectives including recruiting, training, and mentoring staff
- Communicate job expectations and responsibilities
- Plan, monitor, and appraise team performance
- Meet culinary financial objectives through forecasting and budgeting
- Plan menus and estimate food costs
- Monitor budgets and payroll
- Maintain safe and healthy kitchen environment
- Enforce sanitation standards and supervise equipment maintenance
- Educate and train team members in brand standards and regulations
- Promote teamwork and quality service across departments
- Assist with banquets and special events
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues
- Develop menu concepts and monitor industry trends
- Ensure security and proper storage of kitchen inventory
- Ensure menu items meet quality and brand standards
- Oversee kitchen equipment cleaning and maintenance
- Perform Manager-on-Duty functions as assigned
