Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 5 years culinary or kitchen management experience
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to work in high-volume, complex foodservice environments
- hands-on chef leadership required
- valid transportation and ability to commute across Indiana
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- proficiency in inventory and cost management
- ability to mentor and train staff
- commitment to maintaining health and safety standards
- availability to participate in meetings and client programs
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- high-volume and complex foodservice operations experience
- catering and institutional/batch cooking experience a plus
- hands-on chef leadership experience
- strong knowledge of culinary trends, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technology
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
- willingness to engage in client satisfaction initiatives
Job Duties
- Plan and execute menus according to established guidelines
- ensure recipes, portioning, and presentation meet company standards
- oversee daily production, waste logs, and taste testing for quality control
- train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation
- maintain cleaning and equipment schedules
- ensure compliance by staff
- manage inventory and control costs while ensuring product availability
- properly utilize leftover food in line with company policies
- comply with all federal, state, and local health/safety regulations
- enforce company safety procedures, including incident reporting
- actively participate in meetings, staff development, and client programs
