Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- food handlers permit as required by state or provincial law and company standards
- basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- valid driver’s license
- ability to meet company motor vehicle policy standards
- ability to pass drug test, tuberculosis test, and background check
- compliance with Covid-19 and influenza vaccination mandates as applicable
- willingness to drive company or personal vehicle for job duties
Job Qualifications
- Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry

- strong organizational and time management skills
- ability to resolve problems with dissatisfied customers or employees
Job Duties
- Interviewing and hiring kitchen staff
- training and performance managing assigned staff
- scheduling hours, breaks, and meal periods
- maintaining monthly and annual culinary services budgets
- managing inventory of kitchen supplies and tableware
- ensuring purchasing standards and vendor relationships
- food preparation, storage, and service compliance
- meeting with residents and family members to ensure satisfaction
- coaching staff on high levels of customer service
- coordinating front of house and back of house staff
- maintaining department customer satisfaction and health survey scores
- accurate budgeting documentation and reporting
- maintaining employee engagement scores
- delegating tasks for cleanliness and quality
- conducting department meetings and in-services
- ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment
- planning and executing special events, banquets, and theme meals
- collaborating with community sales and staff for marketing
- enforcing company expectations and first impression standards
- acting as manager on duty as needed
- maintaining compliance with training and regulatory requirements
