Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
  • Valid food handlers permit
  • Basic computer skills proficient in Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must comply with company motor vehicle policy
  • Ability to work effectively as a manager on duty
  • Effective communication and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Food handlers permit as required by law or company standards
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with company motor vehicle policy
  • Experience in managing kitchen and dining staff
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Interview hiring training developing and performance managing assigned staff including scheduling of hours breaks and meal periods
  • Maintain monthly and annual budgets for Culinary Services department including documentation of monthly spend on food supplies and labor
  • Manage inventory of kitchen supplies small wares and table ware
  • Ensure purchasing standards are maintained and strong relationships with vendors are upheld
  • Oversee food preparation storage and service according to company standards and legal requirements
  • Meet regularly with residents and family members to ensure high satisfaction levels
  • Work with staff to provide high levels of customer service
  • Coordinate front and back of house staff to exceed resident and guest expectations
  • Work with community leadership to maintain department customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to budget and operations
  • Delegate tasks to ensure cleanliness and quality in kitchen and dining areas
  • Conduct department meetings in-services and pre-meal briefings
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Assist in planning and execution of Engage Life events and special functions
  • Collaborate with Community Sales team to market the community
  • Ensure staff understand company expectations and first impression standards
  • Act as manager on duty as required
  • Maintain compliance with all required training and regulatory standards
  • May perform other assigned duties as needed
