Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years Executive Chef experience
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations including HACCP
  • Proficiency in PC software and POS systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to supervise and train culinary team
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including some weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years Executive Chef experience
  • Fine dining experience a plus
  • Knowledge of a la carte and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls and food presentation
  • Good knowledge of PC software and POS systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Job Duties

  • Oversee food purchasing, preparation, presentation, and storage within budget
  • Supervise food production and utility staff to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Maintain core menus, recipe management system, and back-of-house computer systems
  • Ensure kitchen and equipment sanitation
  • conduct monthly internal audits
  • Comply with all federal and state food safety regulations (Health Department/HACCP)
  • Partner with Unit Manager to address and resolve food service issues
  • Ensure consistent food quality and appealing presentation
  • Build and maintain relationships with residents through dining room visits and meetings
