Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years Executive Chef experience
  • Fine dining experience a plus
  • Knowledge of a la carte and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and food presentation
  • Good knowledge of PC software and POS systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to comply with federal and state food handling regulations
  • Excellent supervisory and team leadership skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure the efficiency and quality of food purchasing, receiving, storage, and preparation, sanitation of production areas, and direct supervision of food production and utility staff within budget parameters
  • Supervise, implement and maintain core menus, recipe management system, and back-of-house computer systems
  • Maintain proper kitchen and equipment sanitation procedures and conduct monthly internal sanitation audits
  • Comply with all federal and state regulations pertaining to food handling and production including Health Department and HAACP standards
  • Partner with Unit Manager to resolve food production, preparation, and presentation issues
  • Ensure optimum food quality and presentation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents through dining room visits and meetings
