Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years executive chef experience
- Knowledge of a la carte and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls and food presentation
- Good knowledge of PC software and POS systems such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to comply with all federal and state food handling and safety regulations
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years executive chef experience
- Fine dining experience a plus
- Knowledge of a la carte and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and food presentation
- Good knowledge of PC software and POS systems including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Job Duties
- Ensure the efficiency and quality of food purchasing, receiving, storage, and preparation from pre-preparation to plate presentation
- Maintain sanitation of the production areas and direct supervision of all food production staff and utility staff where applicable within budgetary parameters
- Supervise, implement, and maintain core menus and recipe management system and back-of-house computer system
- Maintain proper procedures to ensure kitchen and equipment sanitation and conduct monthly internal sanitation audits
- Comply with all federal and state regulations pertaining to food handling and production including Health Department and HACCP standards
- Partner with Unit Manager to resolve issues related to food production, preparation, and presentation
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents through dining room visits and meetings
