Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years executive chef experience
  • Knowledge of a la carte and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls and food presentation
  • Good knowledge of PC software and POS systems such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to comply with all federal and state food handling and safety regulations
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years executive chef experience
  • Fine dining experience a plus
  • Knowledge of a la carte and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and food presentation
  • Good knowledge of PC software and POS systems including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Job Duties

  • Ensure the efficiency and quality of food purchasing, receiving, storage, and preparation from pre-preparation to plate presentation
  • Maintain sanitation of the production areas and direct supervision of all food production staff and utility staff where applicable within budgetary parameters
  • Supervise, implement, and maintain core menus and recipe management system and back-of-house computer system
  • Maintain proper procedures to ensure kitchen and equipment sanitation and conduct monthly internal sanitation audits
  • Comply with all federal and state regulations pertaining to food handling and production including Health Department and HACCP standards
  • Partner with Unit Manager to resolve issues related to food production, preparation, and presentation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents through dining room visits and meetings
