Job Requirements

  • Degree or certification from an accredited culinary arts institute or American Culinary Federation apprenticeship certification
  • Minimum five years' experience as Executive Sous Chef in high-volume service
  • Proven ability to improve kitchen efficiency and cost control
  • Strong managerial and communication skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and equipment maintenance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to provide short-term support to other locations if needed

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience as an Executive Sous Chef in a high-volume full-service food operation
  • Proven track record in improving kitchen efficiency, quality, food, and labor costs
  • Degree or certification from an accredited culinary arts institute or apprenticeship from American Culinary Federation
  • Excellent managerial, financial analysis, team building, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operations, and equipment maintenance
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexible to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to support other facilities during business emergencies

Job Duties

  • Directing and administering all culinary operations
  • Supervising chefs and their specific areas
  • Walking event spaces to ensure food quality
  • Teaching and growing culinary staff
  • Planning and scheduling menus
  • Managing food costs and analyzing menus
  • Preparing annual budgets with GM and Finance
  • Coordinating inventory and purchasing
  • Maintaining sanitation standards
  • Overseeing culinary employee performance
  • Managing scheduling and payroll submission
  • Communicating with General Manager and Clients
  • Cross-training culinary team members
  • Conducting interviews and tastings
  • Ensuring proper handling and storage of perishables
  • Participating in meetings with health department and clients
  • Being present for events and premium area walkthroughs
