Job Requirements

  • Four year degree
  • Five plus years culinary leadership experience
  • Experience in large scale catering culinary operations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial reporting
  • Capability to work under high volume and fast-paced environments
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the district
  • Physical ability to perform lifting and moving of up to 40 lbs
  • Comfortable with prolonged standing and active kitchen conditions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and purchasing procedures

Job Qualifications

  • A Culinary Arts Degree or related field
  • Five plus years in a lead culinary role
  • Experience in large scale catering culinary role
  • Natural leadership abilities with passion for culinary arts
  • Creativity in menu development and flavor profiling

Job Duties

  • Oversee and execute the culinary program within the Gas South District Center
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures
  • Coordinate and participate in interdepartmental communications with the operations, sales, and staffing teams
  • Responsible for all culinary aspects of events
  • Execute events and food service while maintaining the highest level of food quality and presentation
  • Capable of producing a consistent product in high volume
  • Manage purchasing and inventory
  • Meet venue financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Create weekly financial reporting, including declining balance, invoice tracking, and labor vs. sales reports
  • Develop, implement, and communicate creative menu items adhering to company standards
  • Manage financial goals and food costs while tracking budgets
  • Utilize knowledge of Microsoft Office, email communications, and purchasing procedures
  • Responsible for training, accountability, and scheduling of culinary staff
  • Collaborate with staffing to ensure schedules align with events
  • Regular travel throughout the Gas South District
