Job Requirements

  • banquet chef and or sous chef experience at a 4 star hotel or resort for a minimum of 4 years
  • successful track record leading a diverse staff
  • strength to hold staff accountable for day to day actions
  • union experience a plus
  • willingness to work variable schedule and length of shifts

Job Qualifications

  • experience operating in a full-service fine dining establishment
  • knowledge of food inventory management and costing
  • ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • knowledge of food preparation techniques, health regulations, and liquor laws
  • previous experience in banquet and a la carte food service
  • ability to provide staff training and hold team accountable

Job Duties

  • lead culinary team to deliver high-quality dining experiences
  • manage food inventory, ordering, and costing
  • oversee food preparation including light butchering and dessert creation
  • plan and execute banquet and a la carte menus
  • provide training to culinary staff to enhance skills and efficiency
  • ensure compliance with health department rules, liquor laws, and food safety regulations
  • collaborate with service staff to understand and meet guest service needs
