Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in high-end restaurant kitchens with leadership responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience in menu creation and culinary team leadership
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations including inventory and cost control
- Certification in food safety and sanitation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to perform kitchen duties including standing for extended periods
- Effective organizational and problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as an executive chef or a similar senior culinary role
- Formal culinary education or equivalent professional training
- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Expertise in menu development and food presentation
- Knowledge of inventory management and procurement practices
- Familiarity with health safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Passion for culinary innovation and upscale dining experiences
Job Duties
- Design develop and execute a sophisticated menu that aligns with the restaurant’s concept and brand
- Lead mentor and manage all kitchen staff including sous chefs line cooks and pastry chefs fostering a culture of excellence teamwork and professionalism
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality flavor and presentation
- Oversee inventory purchasing and vendor relationships to maintain cost control and ingredient quality
- Maintain compliance with health safety and sanitation regulations at all times
- Collaborate with management on menu pricing seasonal specials and wine food pairings
- Develop and maintain kitchen systems standard operating procedures and prep schedules
- Monitor kitchen operations troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth service during high-volume periods
- Stay current with culinary trends techniques and innovations to continuously elevate the dining experience
