Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in high-end restaurant kitchens with leadership responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience in menu creation and culinary team leadership
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations including inventory and cost control
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to perform kitchen duties including standing for extended periods
  • Effective organizational and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an executive chef or a similar senior culinary role
  • Formal culinary education or equivalent professional training
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills
  • Expertise in menu development and food presentation
  • Knowledge of inventory management and procurement practices
  • Familiarity with health safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks

Job Duties

  • Design develop and execute a sophisticated menu that aligns with the restaurant’s concept and brand
  • Lead mentor and manage all kitchen staff including sous chefs line cooks and pastry chefs fostering a culture of excellence teamwork and professionalism
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality flavor and presentation
  • Oversee inventory purchasing and vendor relationships to maintain cost control and ingredient quality
  • Maintain compliance with health safety and sanitation regulations at all times
  • Collaborate with management on menu pricing seasonal specials and wine food pairings
  • Develop and maintain kitchen systems standard operating procedures and prep schedules
  • Monitor kitchen operations troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth service during high-volume periods
  • Stay current with culinary trends techniques and innovations to continuously elevate the dining experience
