Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior culinary role within a fine dining or upscale restaurant
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with kitchen management software

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an executive chef or head chef in a fine dining environment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary training
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Creative and skilled in menu design and recipe development
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively
  • Familiarity with inventory management and vendor relations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques

Job Duties

  • Design, develop, and execute a sophisticated menu that aligns with the restaurant’s concept and brand
  • Lead, mentor, and manage all kitchen staff including sous chefs, line cooks, and pastry chefs fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and professionalism
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, flavor, and presentation
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships to maintain cost control and ingredient quality
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times
  • Collaborate with management on menu pricing, seasonal specials, and wine/food pairings
  • Develop and maintain kitchen systems, standard operating procedures, and prep schedules
  • Monitor kitchen operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth service during high-volume periods
  • Stay current with culinary trends, techniques, and innovations to continuously elevate the dining experience
