Job Requirements

  • Certified Executive Chef certification or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or professional experience
  • Knowledge of dietary practices and procedures
  • Understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player
  • Commitment to professional integrity and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Culinary Department, its programs, and activities
  • Coordinate culinary services and activities with other related departments
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, interpreting, and implementing written culinary services policies and procedures
  • Maintain the department budget and forecasts, including record-keeping for department expenditures
  • Supervise the Culinary Services Department with full administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability
  • Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in interactions with guests, families, and visitors
  • Foster a positive and healthy environment that supports healing and thriving
