Job Requirements

  • At least one year prior experience in food service department
  • Supervisory experience desirable
  • Compassion for elderly residents
  • Ability to work responsibly as team leader and individual
  • Honest, fair, and dependable
  • Respect confidentiality and resident privacy
  • Effective communication with residents, families, staff, and vendors
  • Control costs related to labor, linen, food, and beverage
  • Meet health requirements
  • Pass criminal background check
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
  • ServSafe Certification as applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two-year degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • At least one year of experience in food service department required
  • Supervisory experience desirable
  • Proficient in menu planning and specialized diets
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Oversee kitchen staff and assign duties
  • Plan menus and special event catering
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
  • Monitor food quality and presentation
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints
  • Control labor, food, and linen costs
