Job Requirements

  • at least one year prior experience in a food service department
  • supervisory experience desirable
  • compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • ability to work responsibly as a team leader and individual
  • honesty, fairness, and dependability
  • respect for confidentiality and privacy
  • effective communication skills
  • control of labor, linen, and food costs
  • meet all health requirements
  • pass a criminal background check
  • ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
  • current ServSafe Certification

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of a two-year degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • minimum of one year prior food service experience required
  • supervisory experience desirable
  • strong knowledge of food safety and storage procedures
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • compassion for elderly residents

Job Duties

  • oversee day-to-day kitchen operations
  • manage and supervise kitchen team members
  • plan menus and special event catering
  • ensure compliance with specialized dietary requirements
  • maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • control labor, linen, and food costs
  • provide excellent customer service to residents and families
