Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience with 3 years' experience in a management or leadership role
  • proficiency in culinary and food preparation techniques
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Serv Safe certification
  • strong leadership and time management skills
  • adaptability to changing circumstances
  • effective communication abilities
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • capable of working in high-temperature environments
  • able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to travel periodically for training and organizational support

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience with 3 years' experience in a management or leadership role
  • proficient in food preparation techniques, flavor combinations, and cooking methods
  • knowledge of various cuisines, culinary techniques, and the latest food trends
  • ACF or CIA certification preferred
  • knowledge of and ability to research regulations, procedures, or technical reference materials relating to operational requirements
  • strong leadership experience and ability to implement and manage change
  • efficient management of kitchen operations during peak hours
  • willingness to adjust to changing circumstances and customer preferences
  • familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Serv Safe Certified
  • creativity and ability to bring fresh ideas
  • demonstrated effective communication and organizational skills
  • proficiency in culinary software tools or ability to learn and deploy quickly

Job Duties

  • Design and prepare well-balanced, flavorful meals that meet the unique dietary needs of patients
  • create menus maintaining quality standards
  • ensure meals are consistent in quality and presentation
  • oversee the safe and efficient operation of the kitchen
  • maintain quality control by supervising kitchen staff and ensuring adherence to directions
  • utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid overproduction or waste
  • keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with health department sanitation requirements
