Job Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience with 3 years' experience in a management or leadership role
- proficiency in culinary and food preparation techniques
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Serv Safe certification
- strong leadership and time management skills
- adaptability to changing circumstances
- effective communication abilities
- physical ability to stand for extended periods
- capable of working in high-temperature environments
- able to lift up to 50 pounds
- willingness to travel periodically for training and organizational support
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience with 3 years' experience in a management or leadership role
- proficient in food preparation techniques, flavor combinations, and cooking methods
- knowledge of various cuisines, culinary techniques, and the latest food trends
- ACF or CIA certification preferred
- knowledge of and ability to research regulations, procedures, or technical reference materials relating to operational requirements
- strong leadership experience and ability to implement and manage change
- efficient management of kitchen operations during peak hours
- willingness to adjust to changing circumstances and customer preferences
- familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Serv Safe Certified
- creativity and ability to bring fresh ideas
- demonstrated effective communication and organizational skills
- proficiency in culinary software tools or ability to learn and deploy quickly
Job Duties
- Design and prepare well-balanced, flavorful meals that meet the unique dietary needs of patients
- create menus maintaining quality standards
- ensure meals are consistent in quality and presentation
- oversee the safe and efficient operation of the kitchen
- maintain quality control by supervising kitchen staff and ensuring adherence to directions
- utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid overproduction or waste
- keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with health department sanitation requirements
