Job Requirements

  • Education from an accredited culinary institution or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in culinary production or commercial kitchen management
  • Proven track record in high-volume culinary production management
  • Strong knowledge of workplace and food safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software including Google Suite
  • Valid ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
  • Ability to manage Union environment if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited culinary institution preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Chef de Cuisine or in an equivalent leadership role in a high-volume culinary environment
  • Proven experience in culinary production management or commercial kitchen operations
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and enhance a robust food and workplace safety culture
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Proficient in computer and technical skills including Google Suite tools
  • ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
  • Experience managing in a Union environment is a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead production safety and compliance rigorously across the facility including allergen management and health regulations enforcement
  • Architect high-volume operations managing production schedules and facility logistics ensuring smooth product flow
  • Drive culinary excellence maintaining food quality preparation and taste in large-scale production
  • Ensure operational rigor enforcing adherence to menuing production and preparation expectations using checklists and guides
  • Cultivate team synergy fostering a culture of teamwork mutual respect and efficiency
  • Develop culinary talent leading training employee reviews coaching and development actions
  • Manage administrative excellence overseeing payroll accounts receivable HR documentation and service reports
  • Master sustainable stewardship ensuring purchasing aligns with sector standards food program guidelines and sustainability commitments
  • Direct human resources compliance managing hiring onboarding training and certification documentation
