Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 48 months restaurant management experience
  • Ability to lead and build teams
  • Effective communication skills
  • Commitment to nutrition and menu creativity
  • Experience resolving conflict
  • Availability to work extended shifts and weekends
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 58 lbs and standing for long periods
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Willingness to comply with University of Oklahoma policies including background checks and tuberculosis testing

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts or restaurant management
  • Proven experience in restaurant or food service management
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and manage change

  • Experience in planning, goal setting, and achieving objectives
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training presentations
  • Critical thinking skills with a focus on enhancing dining programs
  • Availability to work extended hours and weekends

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute innovative recipes and menus accommodating diverse dietary needs
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate full-time and student staff
  • Manage scheduling and oversee daily operational functions of the production area
  • Collaborate with dietitians to maintain nutritional and dietary standards
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and health regulations
  • Control inventory and purchasing by analyzing usage reports and coordinating with departmental leads
  • Maintain a visible presence interacting with staff and customers during business hours
