Job Requirements

  • Requires culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 4 years of culinary experience
  • Requires 2 years management experience preferred
  • Must be able to work event schedules including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Requires strong communication skills
  • Must have advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and management
  • Ability to coach and lead a team effectively

Job Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of culinary experience
  • At least 2 years in a management role preferred
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work event-based schedules including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to simplify the agenda for team
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Experiential knowledge in managing people and resolving problems
  • Oral, reading, and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production aligns with the Executional Framework
  • Ensure culinary standards and techniques are in place for food preparation, production, presentation, and service
  • Manage culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to maintain food presentation quality
  • Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees in best food production practices
  • Coach employees to create shared understanding of goals and methods
  • Recognize and reward employees for performance
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
  • Maintain staff records including training, checklists, and performance data
  • Build and maintain client and guest relationships
  • Interact directly with guests daily
  • Communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
  • Deliver food and labor targets
  • Focus on margin improvement using performance metrics, data, ordering, and inventory trends
  • Execute daily menu items efficiently
  • Maintain food quality and safety
  • Manage waste, standard menus, recipes, customer-driven menus, and labor standards
  • Oversee supply chain and procurement using authorized suppliers
  • Ensure operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Comply with food safety, quality assurance, occupational and environmental safety policies
  • Follow all applicable safety, health, wage, and hour laws and policies
