Job Requirements

  • Requires at least four years of culinary experience
  • Minimum two years in management preferred
  • Requires a culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work event-based schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to simplify agenda for the team
  • Requires advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Requires experience managing people and resolving problems
  • Requires oral, reading, and written communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production aligns with the Executional Framework
  • Ensure culinary standards and techniques are implemented for food preparation, production, presentation, and service
  • Manage culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to maintain quality
  • Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees on best practice food production techniques
  • Coach employees to create a shared understanding of objectives and methods
  • Reward and recognize employee performance
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
  • Maintain staff records including training records, shift checklists, and performance data
  • Develop and maintain effective client and guest rapport
  • Interact directly with guests
  • Monitor and communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
  • Deliver food and labor cost targets
  • Focus on margin improvement by analyzing performance data, orders, and inventory
  • Ensure efficient execution and delivery of all culinary products as per daily menu
  • Maintain food quality and safety standards
  • Comply with Operational Excellence fundamentals including waste and inventory management
  • Understand and manage supply chain and procurement processes with authorized suppliers
  • Implement the Food Framework
  • Accurately estimate food consumption for requisitions and food purchases
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Adhere to Aramark SAFE food and Quality Assurance standards and occupational safety policies
  • Comply with all applicable safety, health, wage, and hour regulations
