Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • minimum 2 years of related catering and banquet or specialty restaurant experience
  • experience with collective bargaining agreements preferred
  • senior management experience preferred
  • ability to manage kitchen operations and staff
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in a related field
  • minimum 2 years of relevant catering and banquets or specialty restaurant experience
  • prior experience managing employees under collective bargaining agreements preferred
  • senior management experience in upscale dining preferred
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • demonstrated ability in menu development and culinary innovation
  • experience in budget management and cost control
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • ability to foster teamwork and employee development
  • proficiency in managing large kitchen operations
  • excellent problem-solving and guest service skills

Job Duties

  • Oversees the daily kitchen operations to ensure overall guest experience meets and exceeds expectations
  • manages human resources responsibilities including hiring, training, and succession planning
  • reviews BEOs, SEOs, and MEOs daily for event setup and execution
  • ensures food presentation, quality, and temperature standards for every event
  • manages fiscal budget and operational efficiency including labor and food cost control
  • maintains quality and presentation of food with accurate order handling
  • collaborates with culinary team for menu development and purchasing control
  • ensures compliance with sanitation and federal food and beverage regulations
  • delegates responsibilities to management for task completion
  • provides input on new products, services, and technology
  • manages operations within department consistent with strategic vision
  • communicates with chefs, management, employees, and guests effectively
  • maintains knowledge of food, beverage products, menus, and equipment
  • offers input for menu changes and staffing adjustments
  • coordinates daily with Catering and Banquets teams and management
  • manages shift operations including logbook and team briefing
  • completes daily payroll to meet productivity standards
  • delivers guest service aligned with company standards
  • manages event room and kitchen activities for quality production
  • regularly interacts with guests to ensure satisfaction and handles complaints appropriately
