Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years executive chef experience in fine dining
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to lead and develop a diverse culinary team
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Proficient in budget management and cost control
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Direct and oversee all culinary operations including production of all meals, food quality, presentation, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, team productivity and performance, implementation of policies and cost controls
  • Create and implement new menus and individual menu items based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with Director of Food and Beverage
  • Interact with guests and clients to monitor satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Perform general management duties including systems management, budget and forecasting, report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, professional development, scheduling, counseling, evaluations and recognition
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
