Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent culinary experience
  • Five or more years of progressive kitchen or culinary management experience
  • Experience in university or college campus foodservice environments preferred
  • Certified in ServSafe food safety practices
  • Ability to lead and inspire a culinary team
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent culinary experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Five or more years of progressive kitchen or culinary management experience
  • Experience in university or college campus foodservice environments preferred
  • Proven expertise in menu planning, inventory control, and financial forecasting
  • Certified in ServSafe food safety practices
  • Passion for culinary innovation and commitment to excellence

Job Duties

  • Craft creative menus that highlight seasonal ingredients, global flavors, and dietary inclusivity
  • Lead and inspire culinary team to deliver high-quality dishes
  • Ensure meals exceed culinary and health compliance standards
  • Oversee daily production, inventory management, and waste reduction
  • Collaborate with university stakeholders to align dining services with campus objectives
  • Manage food and labor budgets and implement cost-effective strategies
  • Provide hands-on training and development for culinary team members
  • Design bespoke menus for special events and catering
