Job Requirements

  • Education level of associate's degree or equivalent culinary experience
  • Minimum five years of progressive kitchen or culinary management experience
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
  • Proven ability in menu planning and inventory management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial performance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent culinary experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Five or more years of progressive kitchen or culinary management experience
  • Experience in high-volume or upscale foodservice environments
  • Expertise in menu planning, inventory control, and financial forecasting
  • Certification in ServSafe food safety practices
  • Strong passion for culinary innovation and commitment to excellence

Job Duties

  • Craft creative, on-trend menus highlighting seasonal ingredients and dietary inclusivity
  • Lead and inspire a culinary team ensuring safety and sanitation best practices
  • Ensure meals exceed culinary standards and comply with health regulations
  • Oversee daily production, inventory management, and waste reduction
  • Collaborate with university stakeholders to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Manage food and labor budgets and implement cost-effective strategies
  • Provide hands-on training and development for culinary team members
  • Design bespoke menus for high-profile events and catering services
