Job Requirements

  • must have more than two years of post high school education but less than a four-year degree
  • five to ten years of related work experience
  • advanced knowledge of principles and practices within food profession
  • must possess oral and written communication skills
  • moderate hearing and speech communication ability
  • excellent vision for safety
  • ability to analyze budget and financial reports
  • physical ability to lift 30-35 pounds multiple times
  • ability to kneel for inspections
  • ability to stand continuously up to one hour
  • work in varied temperature environments including freezer and front line
  • able to perform essential functions with reasonable accommodations for disabilities

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • plan and manage kitchen staff in procurement, production, preparation, and presentation of food
  • ensure kitchen operations comply with safety and sanitation regulations
  • recommend menu and procedural changes
  • manage food and labor costs within budget
  • hire, train, develop, coach, and evaluate kitchen employees
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment sanitation
  • develop and implement departmental budget
  • oversee accident prevention program
  • monitor compliance with corporate and franchise standards
