Job Requirements

  • Minimum of four years hands-on banquet experience
  • Two-year associate degree in culinary arts or combination of education and experience
  • Ability to communicate professionally and courteously
  • Must be able to train on use of food service equipment
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Must maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years hands-on experience in banquet facility producing meals for large or multiple events
  • Two-year associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • ServSafe and TIPS certification preferred
  • Strong communication skills fostering positive work environment
  • Ability to use and train others on kitchen equipment
  • Analytical and mathematical skills related to culinary and food service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and timekeeping software
  • Ability to work well in team-oriented, event-driven environments
  • Exceptionally skilled in hospitality, service standards, and guest relations
  • Ability to make professional independent judgments within policy
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Lead culinary operations ensuring quality presentation and service
  • Collaborate with catering and management teams for event planning and execution
  • Coordinate with event planners, sales teams, and clients to customize menus
  • Design innovative menus accommodating diverse dietary preferences
  • Manage kitchen staff providing guidance, training, and leadership
  • Assist with food purchasing, cost control and budget management
  • Develop SOPs for kitchen operations including inventory, food prep, and sanitation
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Stay updated on culinary trends to enhance offerings
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding and training of staff
  • Direct, develop, and coach departmental personnel
  • Implement corrective actions with Human Resources
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed
