Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • six years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • or two-year degree from an accredited university
  • four years of relevant experience
  • ability to lead and manage kitchen teams
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • excellent communication skills
  • capacity to develop and implement budgets and control expenses
  • proficiency in menu development and food presentation
  • commitment to guest service excellence

Job Qualifications

  • or two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • four years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area

  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to develop menus and control costs

Job Duties

  • Leads kitchen management team
  • provides direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations
  • supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and kitchen workers
  • develops and implements purchasing and receiving guidelines
  • establishes and maintains food safety and sanitation standards
  • manages and develops kitchen staff including training and performance evaluations
  • monitors food quality, presentation, and menu development
  • interacts with guests to collect feedback and address complaints
  • manages kitchen budgets and controls expenses
  • enforces compliance with organizational policies and procedures
