Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
- Ability to create marketing strategies and promotional menu items with Chef to increase business volumes
- Must have a positive attitude at all times and serve as a leader on the hotel’s Leadership Group

Job Duties
- Responsible for the development and enhancement of the food product presented to guests
- Maintain quality of food product and ensure consistency in food delivery and standards
- Lead and develop culinary staff through selection, training, and performance management
- Supervise and coordinate food preparation activities in the kitchen and banquet facilities
- Develop and implement purchasing and receiving control procedures
- Manage department controllable expenses including food cost and supplies
- Collaborate with vendors to obtain quality products at reasonable prices
- Provide direction for menu development and food presentation
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and employment laws
- Control profit and loss by managing kitchen operating expenses and setting margins
