Job Requirements
- Culinary arts degree or equivalent training
- Minimum 4 years industry experience including 2 years in food & beverage management
- Excellent business communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of employment and industry-relevant laws
- Conflict management and negotiation skills
- Flexibility to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional and enthusiastic demeanor
- Detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills
- Possession of state food handler’s license

Job Duties
- Maintains responsibility for day-to-day operation of the kitchen and has complete responsibility for the kitchen in its entirety
- Develops and implements procedures to ensure that all work practices meet or exceed the established standards and goals
- Communicates daily with General Manager for updates, changes and revisions to existing contracts
- Leads shifts, personally preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications
- Maintains standards for food quality, presentation, handling, sanitation and safety
- Assists in the selection, supervision, training, development, scheduling, performance management, and counseling of staff
- Monitors food and labor costs, schedules team members to business demands and waste management
- Conducts daily walk-through of all food storage and preparation areas to ensure proper rotation, usage, cleanliness and sanitation
- Prepares and manages creation of new menu items
- Handles escalated guest problems and complaints
- Manages day-to-day food & beverage operations ensuring quality and customer satisfaction
- Provides guidance, feedback, and coaching to team members to improve service performance
- Participates in hiring, performance appraisal processes, and ongoing training
- Encourages open communication and solicits employee feedback
- Attends and participates in pertinent meetings
