  • familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • excellent people skills
  • detail-oriented, reliable and punctual

  • necessary state food handler's license

Job Duties

  • maintains responsibility for day-to-day operation of the kitchen
  • develops and implements procedures to ensure that all work practices meet or exceed established standards and goals
  • communicates daily with General Manager for updates and changes
  • leads shifts while personally preparing food items and executing requests
  • maintains standards for food quality, presentation, handling, sanitation and safety
  • assists in the selection, supervision, training, scheduling, and performance management of staff
  • monitors food and labor costs and schedules team members according to business demands
  • conducts daily inspection of refrigerators, storage, and food lines for cleanliness and proper sanitation
  • prepares and manages creation of new menu items
  • ensures attractive and consistent presentation of food items
  • handles customer requests and complaints in a timely manner
  • establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with team members
  • manages day-to-day food and beverage operations ensuring quality and customer satisfaction
  • supports F&B leadership in team and performance management
  • handles escalated guest problems and complaints
  • participates in employee interviewing, hiring, and performance appraisal
  • solicits employee feedback and uses an open door policy
  • participates in training staff on menu items and attends relevant meetings
