Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years executive chef experience
- Minimum 12 years cooking experience
- ServSafe certified
- Ability to work extended hours including holidays, nights, and weekends
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a team
- Knowledge of Arizona labor and health regulations
- Ability to manage budgets and control costs
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods
- Culinary school graduate preferred
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited culinary school
- ServSafe certification
- Minimum 5 years executive chef experience in high-volume fine dining or hotel
- Minimum 12 years cooking experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent knife skills
- Creativity and problem-solving ability
- Strong food and beverage knowledge
- Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Oversee complete kitchen operations
- Execute and maintain quality and consistency of food according to corporate standards
- Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere with attentive and courteous service
- Understand market and surrounding areas
- Regularly measure and evaluate service through audits and feedback
- Maintain highest levels of safety, security, sanitation, and cleanliness
- Inspire, inspect, and inform kitchen personnel daily
- Enforce kitchen schedules, par lists, prep lists, and procedures
- Assist in kitchen repairs and maintenance
- Conduct weekly food inventories
- Lead food education and staff training
- Use basic computer applications and POS systems
- Develop staff skills and conduct evaluations
- Source, hire, and discipline kitchen employees
- Maintain good rapport with vendors
- Develop culinary manager team
- Assign challenging work to chefs
- Conduct management and staff evaluations
- Hire and terminate staff as needed
- Implement continuous improvement plans
- Participate in marketing and sales efforts
- Enforce compliance with labor, health, and safety laws
- Build a culture of financial responsibility
- Manage budgets and control costs
- Track spending and prepare paperwork
- Hold department managers accountable
- Conduct monthly health inspections
- Adhere to corporate cleanliness and ordering standards
- Source locally and promote kitchen diversity
