Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • three years management experience
  • three years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
  • strong culinary background with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
  • previous experience in a K-12 environment is preferred
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • strong coaching and employee development skills
  • passion for food and innovation

Job Duties

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production
  • oversee the PrimeroEdge food management system for multiple units
  • menu development
  • ensure Sodexo and USDA culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented and maintained
  • oversee catering functions within Waco ISD and Sodexo’s neighboring K-12 accounts
  • have the ability and willingness to motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline hourly-paid staff
  • provide stellar customer/client service
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
