Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of culinary management experience
- Minimum 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering, institutional services, or mall food courts
- Proven ability to manage large frontline teams in union environments
- Strong culinary knowledge and experience in hospital or large-scale acute care setting
- Patient-first mindset and commitment to customer service
- Ability to work mid-shift hours with weekend and holiday rotations as required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in culinary services
- Proven expertise in high-volume culinary leadership preferably in hospital or acute care settings
- Extensive knowledge of menu development and food safety protocols
- Strong experience managing unionized teams
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive patient-first dining experiences
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Job Duties
- Lead hands-on kitchen operations ensuring food safety and culinary excellence
- Manage and mentor a team of 70 union client employees fostering accountability and customer service
- Oversee patient dining services including At Your Request (AYR) program
- Manage EAT retail dining concept and high-end catering services
- Spearhead brand transformation by leading caf transition to Starbucks by February 2026
- Drive patient satisfaction through innovative menu development and service standards
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and union policies
