Job Requirements
- prior chef experience with restaurants and/or healthcare food service
- knowledge of special diets is helpful
- experience supervising and training a culinary team with exceptional human resource and supervisory skillset
- a good financial acumen and strong computer skills
- an enthusiasm for working with a diverse set of people, are confident and warm
- a positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- associate's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum of 2 years management experience
- minimum of 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
- strong supervisory and human resource skills
- knowledge of special diets helpful
- strong financial acumen
- proficiency in computer skills
Job Duties
- oversee the daily kitchen operations including menu planning and food ordering
- ensure Sodexo culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality
- be hands on and have the ability and willingness to develop and train employees
- knowledge of Food Management Systems/software is preferred
- supervise culinary staff and manage kitchen workflow
- maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- coordinate special dietary requirements for residents
