Job Requirements
- High-volume, quality-focused culinary management experience, preferably within a campus dining setting
- Exemplary communication skills with the ability to lead a large team
- Strong organizational skills - detail-oriented and task-focused
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Strong leadership skills and hands-on training approach
- Effective communication with culinary staff, catering staff, and management
- Experience managing food and labor costs
- Strong computer skills
- HACCP training skills
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years of management experience
- Minimum two years of work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, catering, or institutional services
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a large team
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in managing food and labor costs
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Job Duties
- Lead the culinary operations for all catering events, from large-scale productions to intimate, high-end dinners
- Manage purchasing, inventory, food cost analysis, and production forecasting
- Ensure compliance with Sodexo culinary standards, recipes, and food quality expectations
- Oversee food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Develop, train, and motivate the culinary team to achieve excellence and embrace innovation
- Partner in menu planning, labor scheduling, and marketing initiatives
- Provide an exceptional customer service experience to students, faculty, and guests
