Job Requirements

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years management experience
  • minimum 2 years work experience in food or culinary services
  • strong culinary skills in a variety of cooking methods
  • knowledge of food terminology and cooking processes
  • ability to manage food costs and purchasing
  • excellent leadership and mentoring skills

Job Qualifications

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years management experience
  • minimum 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, or mall food courts
  • creative problem-solver who brings passion and excitement
  • knowledge of contemporary food trends
  • ability to mentor culinary personnel

Job Duties

  • ensure all food always looks and tastes great and is visually appetizing when served
  • have strong all-round culinary ability and strong craft skills in all areas of professional cookery including main courses
  • salads
  • sauce work
  • and pastry and baking
  • have a strong knowledge of food and authentic cuisine
  • recognize and react to contemporary trends
  • use correct food terminology and cooking methods
  • constantly look for new recipes and new ideas and initiatives that will improve both the quality of food and service as a whole
  • play a key role and enthusiastically mentor culinary personnel
  • be responsible for purchasing, food cost analysis, and food production forecasting
