Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience as an executive or head chef
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost control
  • Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety

Job Qualifications

  • Proven culinary leadership experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of California cuisine and contemporary culinary trends
  • Demonstrated ability in menu development and pricing strategy
  • Experience managing kitchen teams and driving performance
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Plan short and long term culinary objectives
  • Develop and price menus creatively
  • Manage all daily kitchen operations
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff including Sous Chef and Kitchen Supervisor
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
  • Collaborate with Restaurant General Manager to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Oversee food and beverage operations across multiple service areas
